Public Service Announcement – Valdese Public Works: Contractors are conducting annual routine sewer line maintenance in the areas of: Pineburr to Praley Faet St SW Praley St South Ave Orchard St Fox to Colonial Colonial St SW This is routine maintenance and will take place this week. Please disregard any sewer smells in this area. If you notice low water in your toilets, flush the toilet to refill with water. This maintenance will not cause damage to your toilets. Holiday Pool Hours

The Valdese Recreation Department will have some altered hours as we head into the July 4th holiday weekend. Thursday, July 1, the pool will close at 4pm for a home swim meet against Black Mountain. Friday evening, July 2nd, there will not be any Twilight Open Swim, as we encourage everyone to stop in and listen to the great music and fireworks provided by the Town. Monday, July 5, the pool and fitness center will close at 5pm. Any normal Monday night programming will not be held that evening. We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful July 4th!
