Summer Concerts Start May 24

Valdese, NC- Valdese will kick off the summer concert series with OUTSHYNE who is best described as five small town guys with half a million road miles and ten years together.

The Valdese FFN stage proudly welcomes 2017 Carolina Country Awards Vocal Group of the Year OUTSHYNE on May 24th, 2019 to open their summer concert series season. Known for their #1 hit on Sirius/Xm the Highway “Moonlight Crush”, OUTSHYNE began as a group of high school friends that continued their music career through determination that has shaped their character.

Along with that their album "Starting Over" debuting at Number 11 on iTunes. They have been able to record songs written by hit makers such as Jeffrey Steele, Cole Swindell, Shay Mooney and Florida Georgia Line. Along the way they have played some of biggest music festivals such as "Taste of Country" in New York, CMAFest in Nashville and Carolina Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach. Outshyne have been lucky enough to share the stage with Jake Owen, Keith Urban, Gary Allan, Colt Ford, Eric Church, Justin Moore and Darius Rucker just to name a few.

“We are excited to offer the community an even larger kickoff concert this year,” states Morrissa Angi Community Affairs Director for the Town of Valdese. “Each year we strive to add new groups to our season lineup and keep fan favorites.” The 2019 season will run every Friday night until August 30 from 7 to 10pm. Attendees are invited to bring a chair and enjoy free music each Friday. Special celebrations will be held for Independence Day on June 28^th and everyone’s favorite, the 44^th annual Waldensian Festival on August 9 and 10^th. Season lineup cards will be offered at the concession stand along with concessions and beer sponsored by Friends of the Valdese Rec. A 50/50 raffle will also be offered and proceeds from concession sales will go toward Valdese Lakeside Park.

Concert attendees are encouraged to visit local restaurants in Downtown Valdese and check out the retail shops while they are visiting. “The summer concerts have become a favorite for visitors and locals alike,” states Angi. “I am proud to be a part of the celebrations that make Valdese a Friday night destination for all to enjoy.”
