Independence Day Celebration Announcement

The 2019 Fireworks Friday Night will be held on June 28, 2019 in conjunction with Family Friday Nights Summer Concert Series. 

Each year the Town of Valdese celebrates Independence Day by holding an impressive fireworks display on the football field behind the Old Rock School. Regarded as one of the most impressive fireworks displays in the area, the Town of Valdese sponsors this celebration with a brilliant light display that bursts at a lower altitude which allows for a variety of swirls and explosions. Plenty of ooohs and ahhhs for everyone! 

Main Street will close at 5pm to allow cars for the Myra's Classic & Antique Car Cruise In fill the downtown area. Amusement Rides for all ages on Faet Street and plenty of great eats!

7pm - Little Johnny Trailer Trash - Country/Classic Rock/Variety
8:45pm - On the Border, The Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band
Dusk - FIREWORKS! - Shot from behind the Old Rock School 
10pm - On the Border

Event Parking - Faet Street Parking Lot, Bobo Street Parking Lot, Italy Street Parking Lot, Town Hall Parking Lot, Secondary Streets
Handicap Parking - Located on Rodoret Street near the Dry Cleaners

Restrooms! - Public Restrooms are located at Faet Street Parking Lot, Old Rock School Front Parking Lot, Town Parking Lot at Wells Fargo

Food! - Concessions provided by Old Colony Players & Check out our downtown restaurants! Friends of the Valdese Rec will be selling domestic beer at the tent near the Main Stage area on Main Street. 

Rides! - Amusement Rides are located in the Town Parking Lot at Wells Fargo

THIS EVENT IS PET FREE! Trust us, we LOVE to see your pups at our events, but please remember that animals are NOT PERMITTED at our Independence Day Event. So leave your fur babies in your nice, quiet, and air conditioned home!
